Sing with Harmonia STellarum!
Harmonia Stellarum Houston (HSH) seeks materials from singers who would like to be considered for our vocalist roster. All voices are welcome to apply.
Modeled after the great European court chapels of the 17th century, Harmonia Stellarum is an ensemble of vocal and instrumental virtuosos who seek to inspire, entertain, and enlighten audiences with meaningful, historically informed performances of well-known as well as newly discovered musical masterworks.
Harmonia’s artistic vision is to build and invest in a standing ensemble of 8–12 singers that develops artistically over time. Singers invited to join our core roster get first dibs on all season performances, and are featured as soloists both on the bigger projects as well as in smaller settings as part of the season. Core members are featured as such on our website. Our typical repertoire is focussed on 17th-century music from Italy and Germany with occasional projects of later music like Mozart, Schubert, or Bruckner.
Pay is according to HSH’s schedule of fees per service, which is available upon request. Travel to the Houston area is reimbursed and assistance with housing is available for non-local artists. Artists are hired as independent contractors and will receive a 1099.
